Jesus said, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." --John 4:24 KJV
"If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." --John 14:15-21 KJV
Would you like a visit from the awesome Creator of EVERYTHING? Christ said that He is in us. He also said that He and God are one. However, I find I frequently need to remind myself that my life is not all about me. It's not all about my selfish, worldly desires, feelings and pride. Instead, my life should be all about God. I frequently need to remind myself to give my body, my thoughts, and my spirit to God, desiring Him to use me and work through me for His purpose." Apostle Paul said, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." - Galatians 2:20
God is here, living with us and amongst us! "We are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them..." -2Corinthians 6:16 "Do you not know that you* are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If any one destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and that temple you are." -1Cor 3:16-17 That is why Christ said the second greatest command to love our neighbor IS LIKE the greatest command to love God with all we have.
"If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, VENGEANCE IS MINE; I WILL REPAY, saith the Lord." --Romans 12:18-19 Just know that you are not alone in whatever turmoil or pain you are dealing with. Tell God that you want to give yourself to Him, and that you want His thoughts and His POWERFUL presence in your life. He created everything! There is nothing He can't do. There is no problem He can't solve. Turn your thoughts to God if you want peace in your life. "Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." --John 14:27
Christ wants us to eat, drink, live, and breathe Him so to speak. He started the tradition of Holy Communion when He broke bread with His disciples, calling it His flesh and the wine His blood. The Bible says that Christ is the Word that was made flesh. It also says that the Word is God, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." -John 1:1 So, by simply studying the traditional Holy Bible, we can have the Word in us. Jesus said, "...the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." -John 6:63
* In this verse, Paul is speaking to the church in Corinth. He is addressing problems with individual members of the church. The days of God living in stone structures have changed to days of God living in each individual Christian. We are God's Holy Temple!
